The World According to Kids: Best Responses

The World According To Kids is when we interview your children each year and capture their evolving personality on camera before they do the unthinkable – grow up! What we end up with is a cherished archive of cute, playful, and insightful footage to edit for big occasions – Bar Mitzvahs, 18th Birthdays, Weddings etc…

MKW: What happens at a wedding?

Girl, 6: It’s when a bride marries a broom.

Ask a silly question and you’ll get a silly answer. That’s what people say, right? But we’ve found that asking a serious question can also get a silly answer. Especially when you’re asking a four-year-old girl.

“Where do babies come from…?”
“…Santa and the baby Jesus?”

MKW: How do you find the right person to marry?

Boy, 5: Blood tests.

It’s not all funny responses. We often get the most truthful insights from the most unexpected moments. On the subject of Father Christmas, a seven-year-old girl recently explained:

“If he’s real, why doesn’t he visit the poor people in Africa?”
She makes a good point...

MKW: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Girl, 7: I really want to be a fighter pilot…or a window cleaner.

A typical interview covers a range of subjects from hobbies to family, from school to future careers. With younger kids, we’ve found that little gems can pop up on pretty much any subject.

MKW: Where does Santa live?

Girl, 6: I saw him at Santa’s Risotto.

As The World According to Kids project continues to grow, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to finding the ‘best’ responses. After asking questions to hundreds of children from all over the world, one thing has become clear – there’s nothing wrong with silly answers.
